"... A beautiful work. Cheryl has surely produced a useful manual for building and discipling leaders. I am honored and humbled to see how she used The Master Plan of Evangelism. My prayer is that through this manual an ever-enlarging group of workers will go forth into the waiting harvest."
– Robert Coleman, author of The Master Plan of Evangelism

Life on Life Discipleship Workshop

What was Jesus plan for discipleship? He invested in a few for 3 years helping them come to faith, mature in their faith and become leaders in His footsteps? Using the 8 principles of Robert Coleman’s classic on discipleship, The Master Plan of Evangelism, this workshop takes your group through the Biblical plan Jesus left for us to follow. Invest in a few by selecting them and staying with them until you see them reproduce. The manual 8 Principles of Life on Life Leadership is used as the basis of the workshop. Implementation Follow-Up Coaching is highly recommended for this workshop. See also Lay Coach Training on the Coaching page.

Cheryl believes that TEAMS-based ministry is balanced ministry in that every small group, event, or class should contain elements of Truth, Equipping, Accountability, Mission, and Supplication.

Bible Study and Reading Workshop

This workshop includes how-tos with time to practice the many ways of taking in God’s word. The methods include slow reflective reading and listening, to reading the entire Bible 3 times per year. You will also learn simple ways of studying the Bible properly, which of the many translations are best for study, how to create a homily (a short biblical talk) and starting an outreach neighborhood Bible Study. The new Christian as well as the long-time Christian will gain much from this workshop.

Theological Foundations

Yes, theology matters! Do you know the essentials of what you believe? Is anything in the Bible considered non-essential to our faith? What difference does theology make in life and why does it matter? God created women with a giving, nurturing nature and as we love and serve our families and neighbors, our theology “rubs off’ whether we realize it or not. Cheryl likes to call this the “hidden curriculum” of discipleship. This workshop will help you want to learn more and to desire to “Watch your life and doctrine closely,” 1 Timothy 4:16

Life Purpose and Mapping Workshop

We all have a sense of life purpose, one we were born with, unique and one of a kind. For some it is obvious from birth and for others discovering it is part of their life’s journey. Knowing your life purpose gives you a sense of passion and direction and helps you decide on best choices for your life and where God has equipped you to spend your time, energy and resources in a way that gives something only you can give. There is work only you can do; no one else can do it like you.

The Sacred Way Retreat or Workshop

There is such a great need today to intentionally create sacred space and time in our lives for disengagement from regular activities to re-engage with God. This retreat or workshop will help you explore ancient spiritual practices and disciplines to focus simply on being with God. You will be introduced to a spiritual practice or a guided spiritual direction, get away to practice it alone, then return to the group to share experiences and what God may have communicated to you. This is truly a life-changing event.

Note: The Sacred Way is best as a small retreat. A large home or monastery is best for this retreat, as each woman should have her own room if possible or quiet areas to get away for silence, solitude and contemplative prayer.
